Fremont Chess Club for Kids

We moved to the area last year from Chicago. I taught my 6 and 8 yr olds chess from scratch over the summer and we are now moving into the formal study of endgames, basic tactics, and combinations. We use OTB (over the board) as well as silicon/engine based study materials. I live in the Mission San Jose area of Fremont.

Thinking of forming a chess club in the Fremont area to share tips and just get kids to play and socialize. We could meet at a library or a school after hours, have not thought through the logistics yet. I want kids to love the game and have seen how many bay area chess clubs have steep prices that make the game beyond the reach of many.

I am not doing this for money, the club will be free to attend. Want to start slow, maybe 5-10 kids max. However free does not mean the teaching standard will be low - just want kiddos to find like-minded friends and learn to work hard as a group.

Chess is all about patterns, problem solving and recall of theory. It also helps improve your GCA (General Cognitive Ability).

Not sure if any of this makes sense if it does let me know.
